Mahatma Gandhi Death Anniversary: మహాత్మా గాంధీకి రాష్ట్రపతి రామ్నాథ్ కోవింద్, ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీ ఘన నివాళులర్పించారు. మహాత్మా గాంధీ 73వ వర్ధంతిని పురస్కరించుకొని శనివారం ఢిల్లీలోని రాజ్ఘాట్కు చేరుకొని రాష్ట్రపతి, ప్రధాని, పలువురు పుష్పాలతో నివాళులర్పించారు. వారివెంట ఉప రాష్ట్రపతి ఎం. వెంకయ్య నాయుడు, రక్షణమంత్రి రాజ్నాథ్ సింగ్ కూడా ఘాట్ వద్దకు చేరుకొని బాపూకు నివాళులర్పించారు.
అంతకుముందు ప్రధానమంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోదీ బాపు పుణ్య తిథి సందర్భంగా ఆయనకు నివాళులర్పిస్తూ ట్విట్ చేశారు. బాపూజీ ఆశయాలు లక్షలాది మందికి ప్రేరణగా నిలుస్తున్నాయని తెలిపారు. ఆయన వర్థంతి రోజున దేశ స్వాతంత్య్రం కోసం ప్రాణాలను అర్పించిన వారి త్యాగాలను గుర్తుచేసుకుంటామని తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్రపతి రామ్నాథ్ కోవింద్ కూడా మహాత్మునికి నివాళులర్పిస్తూ ట్విట్ చేశారు. ఆయన సూచించిన శాంతి, అహింస, సత్యం, ప్రేమ మార్గాలను అనుసరించాలని కోరారు.
