భారత్‌-పాక్‌ మధ్య పెరుగుతున్న ఉద్రిక్తతల కారణంగా IPL మ్యాచులను వారం రోజుల పాటు వాయిదా వేయాలని BCCI నిర్ణయించింది. ఫ్రాంచైజీలు, బ్రాడ్‌కాస్టర్‌లు, స్పాన్సర్లతో కీలక సమావేశం తర్వాత ఆటగాళ్ల భద్రతను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని ఈ మేరకు నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నామని ఐపీఎల్ పాలకమండలి తెలిపింది. IPLలో ఇంకా 16 మ్యాచులున్నాయి. నిన్న ధర్మశాలలో మ్యాచ్ జరుగుతుండగానే విద్యుత్‌ సరఫరా ఆపేశారు. సాంకేతిక లోపమని ముందుగా భావించారు. కాని భద్రతా కారణాలరీత్యా విద్యుత్‌ సరఫరా నిలిపేశారని తెలియడంతో మ్యాచ్ ఆపేశారు. అటు పెరుగుతున్న ఉద్రిక్తతల కారణంగా స్వదేశానికి తిరిగి వెళ్లిపోయే ఆలోచనలో ఆస్ట్రేలియా క్రీడాకారులు ఉన్నారు.
