Ashutosh Sharma
Ashutosh Sharma is a right-handed batter hailing from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. At the very tender age of 8, he fell in love with the sport, but due to a lack of opportunities near his home, he moved to Indore to train at Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association’s residential academy. His cricketing idols are Naman Ojha and Suryakumar Yadav. Sharma made his T20 debut in 2018 and in the following year, played his first List A game. However, even after a string of good performances, he couldn't cement his place in the team. He decided to take a big step and moved to Railways which proved to be the best decision of his life. His exploits in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy sent shockwaves through the cricketing world, as he blazed his way to a breathtaking 11-ball 50, eclipsing the legendary Yuvraj Singh's record. Further cementing his reputation as a batting dynamo, he unleashed a stunning display of power-hitting in an inter-railway encounter, smashing an astonishing 200 runs in a mere 60 deliveries. These extraordinary feats did not go unnoticed by the Indian Premier League scouts as he was bought by Punjab for the 2024 edition, granting Ashutosh the opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of gracing the prestigious league with his talent.
