Someshwar is one of the Assembly constituencies of the Almora district in Uttarakhand. There were a total of 85,597 voters in the Someshwar constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled to be held in a single phase in Uttarakhand i.e. on February 14, 2022. In 2017, Bharatiya Janata Party's Rekha Arya had won the seat. The BJP has again fielded her from the seat. The Someshwar Assembly constituency is reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs). Also, this Assembly seat falls under the Almora Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by BJP's Ajay Tamta.
