Chaubattakhal is one of the Assembly constituencies of the Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand. There were a total of 92,610 voters in the Chaubattakhal constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled to be held in a single phase in Uttarakhand i.e. on February 14, 2022. In 2017, Bharatiya Janata Party's Satpal Maharaj had won the seat. The BJP has again fielded him from the seat. The Chaubattakhal Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) or Scheduled Tribes (STs). Also, this Assembly seat falls under the Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by former Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat.
