Jemimah Rodrigues

Batsman
Right Handed & Off break

Jemimah Rodrigues is among the finest products of the famed Mumbai school of batting. She started playing against a season ball at the age of 4 and showed signs of her talent. Her father, Ivan Rodrigues, who is a cricket coach, decided to take her coaching a lot more seriously and has played a key role in her development.

Apart from cricket, she also indulged herself in Hockey and has also represented her state team of Maharashtra at the junior level. She was picked for the Mumbai U19 cricket team at the age of 13. In 2017, she scored a double century in a U19 50-over match against Saurashtra. In 2018, she was named the Best Domestic Junior Women's Cricketer by the BCCI. She later made her debut for India that year in a T20I match against South Africa.

Jemimah’s upward trajectory continued as she became part of India’s squad for the 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup, where the team finished runners-up. She went on to represent franchises across major global leagues, including The Hundred, the Women’s Big Bash League, and the WCPL. In 2022, she played a key role in India’s silver-medal finish at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and was later part of the Asia Cup-winning squad. At the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup, Jemimah produced several vital innings to help India reach the semi-finals. Her growing stature was reflected at the inaugural Women’s T20 League auction, where she was signed by Delhi for INR 2.2 crore.

The defining moment of her career arrived in 2025. An unforgettable unbeaten 127 in the World Cup semi-final against Australia in Navi Mumbai sent India into the final, where they went on to defeat South Africa and clinch their maiden Women’s World Cup title. What was nothing short of a dream year was capped off with Jemimah being appointed captain of Delhi for the 2026 Women's T20 League season.
