Wangkhei మణిపూర్ అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికల ఫలితాలు 2022

Wangkhei is an Assembly constituency of the Imphal East district in Manipur. There were a total of 34,914 voters in the Wanghhei constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled in the first phase i.e. on February 28, 2022. In 2017, Congress party's Okram Henry Singh had won the seat. However, the election of Okram Henry Singh as a member of the state Assembly was declared null and void by the High Court of Manipur in April 2021, and Yumkham Erabot Singh, who was defeated by Henry, was duly elected from the Wangkhei constituency. This time the BJP has again fielded him from the seat. The Wangkhei Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. Also, this Assembly seat falls under the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
