Thangmeiband is an Assembly constituency of the Imphal West district in Manipur. There were a total of 28,482 voters in the Thangmeiband constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled in the first phase i.e. on February 28, 2022. In 2017, the Congress party's Khumukcham Joykisan Singh had won the seat. The Thangmeiband Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. Also, this Assembly seat falls under the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
