Sagolband is an Assembly constituency of the Imphal West district in Manipur. There were a total of 23,064 voters in the Sagolband constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled in the first phase i.e. on February 28, 2022. In 2017, Congress party's Rajkumar Imo Singh had won the seat. However, the BJP has fielded Rajkumar Imo Singh from the seat, who joined the BJP in September 2021 after quitting the Congress party. The Sagolband Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. Also, this Assembly seat falls under the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
