Lamsang is an Assembly constituency of the Imphal West district in Manipur. There were a total of 30,267 voters in the Lamsang constituency during the 2017 Assembly elections. This year, the voting is scheduled in the first phase i.e. on February 28, 2022. In 2017, Bharatiya Janata Party's Sorokhaibam Rajen Singh had won the seat. The BJP has again fielded him from the seat. The Lamsang Assembly constituency is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. Also, this Assembly seat falls under the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha constituency, which is represented by Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh.
