Parvez Hossain Emon

Parvez Hossain Emon is an exciting left-handed batter and wicketkeeper-batter from Bangladesh who has steadily established himself as one of the country's promising white-ball players. Born on June 12, 2002, Emon first made his mark in Bangladesh's age-group setup and was part of the country's victorious Under-19 World Cup campaign in 2020. An aggressive stroke-maker at the top of the order, he is known for his high backlift, powerful bat swing and ability to take the attack to the opposition.

Emon began his senior domestic career in 2019, making his T20 and List A debuts for Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan. He made his First-class debut for Chattogram Division in 2021, adding the longer format to his growing domestic experience. One of the biggest early highlights of his career came in the 2020-21 Bangabandhu T20 Cup, when he smashed a remarkable century for Fortune Barishal. His 42-ball hundred was one of the fastest T20 centuries by a Bangladeshi batter and showcased the attacking approach that has remained a defining feature of his game.

His performances in domestic cricket eventually earned him international recognition, with Emon making his T20I debut for Bangladesh against Zimbabwe in 2022. Opportunities were initially limited, but he continued to build his reputation through consistent performances in domestic cricket. His breakthrough in List A cricket came in the 2024 Dhaka Premier League, where he finished as the second-highest run-scorer with 623 runs in 13 matches, including three centuries. He made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in July 2025 and quickly showed his potential in the format, scoring his maiden ODI half-century in only his second appearance.

Emon's international breakthrough in T20Is also arrived in 2025, when he scored a century against the United Arab Emirates. It was only the second T20I hundred by a Bangladeshi batter and helped give him a more extended opportunity at the international level. His aggressive batting style, combined with his ability to keep wicket when required, gives Bangladesh another versatile option in their white-ball setup.

Emon's franchise career has been largely built around the Bangladesh Premier League, where he has represented several sides, including Comilla Victorians, Rangpur Riders, Khulna Tigers, Chittagong Kings and Sylhet Titans. His BPL journey has given him valuable experience in high-pressure T20 cricket, and he enjoyed a particularly productive 2025–26 campaign with Sylhet Titans, finishing among the tournament's leading run-scorers with 395 runs from 12 innings. His franchise journey has also taken him to the Pakistan Super League, where he has been associated with Lahore Qalandars, for whom he also played in the Global Super League 2026, allowing the left-hander to test himself in more major T20 competitions.
