Taleigao is one of the Assembly constituencies of the North Goa district in Goa. It falls under the North Goa Lok Sabha constituency. Jennifer Monserrate is a second-term member of the Goa Legislative Assembly from the Taleigao Assembly constituency. She is the wife of Atanasio Monserrate, a three-term member of the Goa Legislative Assembly. She is the current Cabinet Minister for Revenue, Information Technology, Labour and Employment under Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. She was one of 10 Indian National Congress MLAs that joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in July 2019. This is a general seat, i.e. it is not reserved for SCs or STs. The voting on this seat is scheduled for February 14, 2022.
